
My Story
Hello, my name is Gemma and I founded Country Bump-Kin in June 2020 alongside being a Mummy to my two young children. Country Bump-Kin Gluten Free is based in Paulton, near Bristol at our family home. I have always had a passion for food and prior to training to be a Qualified Early Years Educator I had considered becoming a chef. I have had a very enjoyable career within the Early Years Sector, having the privilege to be a Manager in two local nurseries.
Due to COVID-19 during the lockdown, the need to shield my family led to a sudden career change, which has led to the exciting journey for Country Bump-Kin Gluten Free. Having Coeliac’s Disease myself and both children being Gluten Free I know how difficult it is to source tasty Gluten-Free treats! So much so, my children had never eaten a jam doughnut until I made them! They love being the taste testers!!
Country Bump-Kin Gluten-Free aims to provide high-quality food using local produce, I have made links with various local companies to source local ingredients. Country Bump-Kin Gluten-Free fully understands the importance of cross-contamination and using separate tools and baking equipment.
